Cabinet Painting

Kitchen area

What's the difference between cabinet painting and cabinet refinishing? Cabinet painting is just what it sounds like: repainting the surface of your cabinets, either using standard paint or a wood stain. While painting gives you more options in terms of colors, staining brings out the wood grain beautifully with a rich, warm finish.

Cabinet refinishing is a bit more labor-intensive. We usually recommend refinishing if your cabinets have damage, chips, scratches, or deteriorated coatings. Refinishing involves stripping off the existing stain or paint using chemical remover or sanding to reveal the smooth surface underneath to get it ready for a fresh coat of paint or stain.
